Jeffrey Leef and his wife, Dr. Teresa McKenzie, live in River Forest where they've raised their three children. Jeff and his family have been residents of the 7th District since 1992 when they lived in Forest Park.
Jeff has a deep familiarity with the 7th District, beginning with his education at the George F. Nixon (Westchester) Middle School. After his 1978 graduation from Proviso West High School Jeff enrolled at the University of Illinois - Chicago and in 1982 he began his medical studies at the Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences Medical School. Most recently, Dr. Leef was named the Director of Interventional Radiology Trauma Services at the University of Chicago.
Including being a River Forest Youth Baseball/Softball coach from 2003 to 2014, Jeff enjoyed coaching a team in the Opportunity Knocks Classic, a softball tournament whose proceeds went to Opportunity Knocks - a fantastic organization in Oak Park dedicated to helping young adults with developmental disabilities.
